My passion for Yoga started when I was around 8 years old and my mom and I practised with a video called „Yoga in the desert“ by Ali McGraw. From the first moment on, I was fascinated by the grace and energy the yogis in the video transmitted. I knew I wanted to be like them when I am older.
When I was 22 years old, I met Patrick in my hometown Berlin, and after many years of Yoga absence, finally found back my passion of the practise and everything that comes with it.
But it was not until 2009 that I decided to follow my calling and join a Techer Training. My friend from Gayatri Yoga Tenerife recommended an ashram in India I should go to while I was attending her classes in Fuerteventura, where we lived for 16 years.
In october I travelled to India, following my dream and become a certified yoga instructor. The small and family run ashram of Yoga Vidya Gurukul in Trimbak showed me what it means to truly be a yogi and live a yogic lifestyle. I try my best to live a peaceful life, connected to nature and learn as much as I can on my way. And that’s what I attempt in my yoga classes. Connecting with your soul, body and breath. Turning inward, exploring, observing, enjoying.
My classes focus on the traditional way of Hatha Yoga I learned in India, which is inspired by the vision of Swami Satyananda.
My aim is to bring peace, calmness and awareness to my students, while not forgetting the joy Yoga can give. You will relax, be sometimes challenged but all in all learn to listen to your body and its needs.
After learning about plant-based eating in 2012, while working in Denmark, and switching my diet completely I got more and more interested in this topic, which resulted in attending a distance learning academy. There, in 2018 I finished my studies and certified as a Holistic Health Coach, focusing on healthy eating and helping people to heal and live a better life.
I speak German, English, Spanish, Italian and a little French.
Looking forward to see you soon and share a great time together,
In the Yoga Tides Villa I am responsible for shopping, gardening, cleaning, maintanance, more or less for everything. And while you enjoy your Yoga session in the morning, I am preparing the brunch.
My greatest passion in life beside travelling is definately windsurfing in waves and pure surfing. I am a certified Windsurf, Sailboat and Catamaran instructor, as well as an ocean, river and lake lifeguard. Before leaving Germany in 2004 I had my own Windsurfing School at the Baltic Ocean. On land I love cooking and working with wood. Since I also love Yoga so much, I will join from time to time the evening session. If the conditions aren’t perfect in the ocean.
I hope you will enjoy, relax and explore the island to the max.
Hang loose and Namaste,
